Research Interest and expertise in the field of nutraceuticals and functional food
The research interest is in pre-clinical (in-vitro) studies focused to the evaluation of the antioxidant and antiproliferative effects of nutraceuticals, such as fish oil extract encapsulated in mesoporous silica and curcumin microencapsulated, assessing their effects on inflammation and cancer invasiveness. The aim of these studies may be precious in delineating novel pharmacological and therapeutic strategies.
