Research Interest and expertise in the field of nutraceuticals and functional food
Our group uses the impressive experimental advantages offered by the nematode animal model C. elegans to identify and/or validate new molecules/extracts capable of slowing down the progression of aging and of neurodegenerative diseases (e.g Spinal Muscular Atrophy) but also to identify chemicals and food contaminants with neurotoxic effects (e.g patulin, chlorpyrifos).
