Facilities and equipments
IPCB is equipped with laboratories where they are present numerous scientific instruments of the latest generation in the field of preparation and characterization of both compact and expanded polymeric, composite and nano-composite materials (http://www.ipcb.cnr.it/index.php/it/risorse). In particular, the IPCB provides laboratories for physico-chemical characterization of materials, equipment for the processing of polymers and of composites, characterization systems and near-field optical lithography, additive printers, systems of surface and nanoindentation characterization. Liquid Chromatography laboratories are also available HPLC, Spotlight ‐ Spectrum ‐ one, Chemical Imaging FT ‐ IR, Scanning Electron Microscopy SEM, Laboratories and cell culture hoods. 3D Scanner, Bioplotter, Envisiontec 3D UV Prototyping Machine, Porosimeter ad Mercury intrusion (Thermo Electron Pascal 140‐240), Light scattering ALV ‐ CGS3, Bioreactors for mechanostimulation (3 models), Class 10,000 Clean Room. By way of example, the following equipment is indicated that may be functional to the project in question: - Synthesis and Surface Nanoengineering laboratory - Polymeric Material Processes Laboratory: Blender mixers and high speed mixers (Ultraturrax), extruders, presses, films blowing; - Rheological equipment (coupled FTIR rheometer); - Equipment for chemical-mineralogical study (Small and Wide Angle Xray Scattering, SAXSWAXS, infrared spectrophotometry, FTIR), morphological (optical and electronic microscope SEMEDS) and thermal (DSC, TGA, DMA); - Equipment for mechanical characterization of compression, traction and bending (model CMT4304 from Shenzhen SANS Testing Machine Co. - China, now MTS - USA) equipped with a 30 kN load cell); - Apparatus for the determination of thermal conductivity. - Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy Laboratory, LAMEST. - Molecular Spectroscopy Laboratory - NMR Spectroscopy Laboratory - Laboratory of Biomaterials and cell cultures - Mass transport laboratory
