Research Interest and expertise in the field of nutraceuticals and functional food
The research interest is in pre-clinical (in-vitro) studies, focused to the evaluation of the antioxdant and antiproliferative effects of nutraceuticals, such as fish oil extract incapsulated in mesoporous silica and curcumin microencapsulated, assessing their effects on inflammation and cancer invasiveness. The aim of this studies maybe precious in delineating novel pharmacological and therapeutic strategies.
