Research Interest and expertise in the field of nutraceuticals and functional food
My research interests concern the synthesis, characterization, and study of natural organic molecules. I studied and characterized them by non-invasive spectroscopic techniques: Raman spectroscopy, mid and near-infrared spectroscopy, NMR, UV-Vis reflectance, and X-ray fluorescence. Specifically, I dealt with the synthesis and characterization of natural organic molecules showing potential biocidal action, modulation of intercellular signals, and nutraceutical support in anticancer therapies.
