Research Interest and expertise in the field of nutraceuticals and functional food
I have recently collaborated in several projects involving the use of the natural bio active extract from Citrus to evaluate the potentials of its flavonoid and other components as antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and other beneficial effects in pre-clinical models (CNR institutes: IBBA, IBE) . In the near future, I plan to collaborate with a private company to evaluate the beneficial effect of non-psychotropic component of Cannabis Sativa on central nervous system diseases. Both project include the characteriasation of the medical and adjutant profile of efficacy evaluation of the new extracts (flavonoid citrus extraction and cannabis oil extraction) toxicity and safety profile of new molecule and biological matrices/formulations
