Research Interest and expertise in the field of nutraceuticals and functional food
Research activity is focused on Human Health and Nutrition topics. In particular the specific expertise are intervention studies focused to investigate the biological effects induced by the consumption of natural functional foods and / or added in bioactive components in healthy individuals and / or at high cardiovascular risk. Nutritional intervention studies are essential to substantiate the claim by the EFSA.
