Facilities and equipments
CNR-ISPA’s activities are performed thanks to innovative infrastructures such as the Bioindustry Park of Canavese ‐ Parco Tecnologico Pubblico‐Privato, lab network BioNet‐PTP‐Biodiversity - the biodiversity network for the promotion and safety of typical food products from Puglia, BIOforIU‐ Multidisciplinary infrastructure for the study and appreciation of marine and terrestrial biodiversity in the perspective of “Innovation Union” and LAIFF - Laboratory Network for the Innovation on Functional Foods, advanced equipment for microbiological, chemical, molecular and proteomic, immunoenzymatic, toxicological and agronomic analyses on plant and agri-food matrices, including apparatus such as Ion S5TM system platform; real time PCR systems (Applied Biosystem StepONE and ViiA7), a Primergy Server for bioinformatic analysis totalling 24 processors, 24Tb of data storage and 96 GB of RAM, Liquid Handling Robot (EpMotion 5075), capillary electrophoresis systems (CE, CEC and DCode); a DART source (Ionsense) several HPLC and UPLCsystems coupled with DAD, UV, fluorescent, MS (Waters-QDA), MS/MS (Q-Sight 220 triple quadrupole MS-Perkin Elmer, –Linear Ion Trap MS Velos Pro-Thermo), HRMS (Thermo-Exactive and QExactiveTM Plus) detectors, facilities, and technology/service platforms. Moreover, CNR-ISPA own a microbial culture collection certified to EN ISO 9001:2008 of about 7,000 strains of phytopathological, mycotoxicological and agri-food interest that joined the European Culture Collection Organization (ECCO), and nowadays is part of the Italian Network of Genetic Resource – BioGenRes (www.biogenres.cnr.it/) and of the European Project on Microbial Resource Research Infrastructure – MIRRI (www.mirri.org/).
